My name is Sania, and I come from a small village in Haryana. Life there was simple, and I never thought I would one day study in a prestigious central university in Delhi. The turning point came when one of my teachers in Navodaya told me about Delhi University. That day, a new dream took birth in my heart, though it still felt far away.
I had only heard of Delhi in stories, never seen it. The idea of studying in such a big city scared me, but I wanted to do something different. When I got selected for one of the best women’s colleges under Delhi University, I couldn’t believe it. My parents supported me in every way, even though it was not easy for them. I also got a hostel seat, which gave me a safe and comfortable place to stay.
Before joining, I had many expectations. I thought I would meet smart students, great teachers, and learn many new things. But when I came here, I realized this university offers much more. It is not just about studies, but about growing as a person. I have learned to think for myself, understand others, and take responsibility. Living in the hostel was a new experience for me. I met people from different states, with different cultures. It made me more open-minded. The classroom discussions, group activities, and even the everyday struggles taught me lessons that books could not.
The journey has not been easy. At first, I missed my home a lot. The language, the city crowd, and fast life scared me. There were days I felt lost. But slowly, I started adjusting. I made friends who felt like family. My teachers guided me. I started believing in myself a little more every day. This campus has changed me. I was a quiet, shy girl when I came. Today, I feel more confident. I can express my thoughts, take part in discussions, and even lead small groups. I still face challenges, but I have learned not to give up easily.
One of the most beautiful things this university has taught me is humanity. I have learned to help others, to listen, and to care. It has made me realize that success is not just about marks, but also about being a good person. I came here with many fears, but now I feel proud of how far I have come. This place has given me wings to dream bigger. I will always be thankful for this journey, the people I met, and the lessons I learned. This campus has made me stronger, kinder, and more hopeful. And for that, I will always carry a part of it in my heart.
